A lower Fear & Greed Score (FG score) for an index suggests more scope for opportunities.
The FG Score ranges from 0 to 100. Generally a score less than 50 reflects the fear territory (more opporunities to enter the market) and a score above 50 reflects the greed territory (stock price may be overvalued).
In a Fear & Greed Mapping, all individual stocks of an index (such as S&P 500, here) are mapped based on their individual FG Scores.
Usually, the chart gives a quick peek for the new opprtunities to start a new position as well as to realize gains on individual stock positions. An excellent and quick tool for trading individual stocks.
